(11/5) Road Conditions Was A Hot Topic For Supervisors
At the Jefferson County Supervisors meeting, a lengthy discussion about road conditions arose. According to Scott Cline, County Engineer, after October 15 crews typically blade roads if needed, just prior to snow season. Lots of adjustments have been made due to the drought this summer. Dry conditions made many roads very dusty and needing dust control. Kurt Minges asked the Supervisors “Who determines what roads need grading and other maintanence?”Supervisor Dick Reed suggested the Supervisors and County Engineer add this stretch of road to the road tour to take a further look at what Minges is talking about. All 7 County Road Maintainers’ will meet to make sure everyone is practicing the same principals when it comes to road maintenance.
