(8/12) The 2013 Parson College Wall of Honor Inductees Has Been Announced



The 2013 Parson College Wall of Honor inductees has been announced. This year’s class of diversified and distinguished Parsons College students and alumni will take their place on the Wall of Honor in the Alumni Hall at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center at 10:00AM, Saturday, October 5, part of the annual Parson Alumni Weekend.  The addition of this year’s class of 10 inductees at the 5th annual ceremony in the Stephen Sondheim Auditorium will raise the total number of Wall of Honor members to 49.  Inductees, along with family, classmates and friends, will be invited back to Fairfield for the celebration.  Admission to the ceremony is FREE to all. Following is a list of this year’s honorees:  
 
William “Bill” Bangham, PC’70, Richmond, VA – Photo-Journalist/Editor,
who covered stories in 70 countries, five continents and founded two charitable
organizations…
 
Dorothy Topping Bell, PC’48, Fairfield, IA – Outstanding Community Service
contributions in the areas of cultural fine arts, the beautification of her town,
and in development of the Fairfield Garden Tour…
 
David Elliott, PC’64, Palm City, FL – Television Network Director/Engineer. 
ABC Vice President, recipient of several EMMY awards and Assistant National
Commodore of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary…
 
Edwin Everett Green, PC’49, (posthumously) – Teacher, Coach and
Superintendent.  Pioneered the origination and development of the Technical
School Program in Iowa for those not interested in attending college…
